This Privacy Policy explains how RideCollective (“Ride,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use youask.ai, the RideCollective marketplace, the Ride Dealer Portal, Ride YouAsk Live Tracker, provider/driver tools, and other Ride websites, applications, services, communications, and features that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).
Ride is a Canadian powersports technology marketplace and software platform. Depending on how you use the Services, you may be a visitor, buyer or lead, private seller, dealer, dealer employee, delivery provider, driver, shipment recipient, or other authorized user.
This Privacy Policy is intended to reflect applicable Canadian privacy requirements, including British Columbia’s private-sector privacy law and federal Canadian private-sector privacy law where applicable. If another law gives you greater privacy rights, we will honour those rights to the extent required.
1. Scope and relationship to other parties
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that Ride controls in connection with the Services.
Dealers, sellers, lenders, delivery providers, payment processors, mapping providers, identity/compliance providers, and other third parties may separately collect or control personal information under their own privacy policies. Ride is not responsible for a third party’s independent privacy practices.
When a dealer, provider, employer, or other business uses Ride to manage information about its own customers, staff, recipients, or contacts, that business may also have independent privacy obligations. Ride users must have lawful authority to provide personal information about another person to Ride.
2. What “personal information” means
“Personal information” generally means information about an identifiable individual. It does not normally include business contact information used solely to communicate with an individual in their professional or business capacity where applicable law excludes that information.
Information that has been irreversibly anonymized so that it no longer identifies an individual is not personal information.
